Kindall built and opened Trader’s Lodge on their farm in the rolling hills of Kansas, north of Wells in December 1995.  Their unique place is a step back in time to the early 1800’s, featuring an art gallery display of Neal’s hand-made Indian Artifacts and Bowie Knife replicas.  (See www.nkartifacts.com)  The lodge is decorated with rough cut cedar beams, stone fireplace, antique furniture, bear skin, buffalo, deer and elk heads and beds crafted by Neal from native hedge and willow. Kay’s love of cooking combined with Neal’s artistic ability and extensive knowledge of history make Trader’s Lodge a delightful choice for overnight or destination dining.
